Tubes is also advantageous for high-temperature service because of their good mechanical
properties. Stainless Steel 347 Welded Tubes offers higher creep and stress rupture
properties than Stainless Steel 304, which might be considered for exposures where
sensitization and intergranular corrosion are concerns. Stainless Steel 347 EFW Tubes is
a columbium (niobium)/tantalum stabilized austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel
that provided an 18-8 type alloy with improved intergranular-corrosion resistance.
Stainless Steel 347 ERW Tubes has a slightly improved corrosion
resistance over other stainless steel alloys in strongly oxidizing environments due to
the addition of columbium (niobium) and tantalum.
Stainless Steel 347H Seamless Tubes is the higher carbon (0.04 – 0.10) version of the
alloy. Stainless Steel 347H Welded Tubes was industrialized for improved creep
resistance and advanced potency at temp above 1000 Degree F (537 Degree C).
Stainless Steel 347H EFW Tubes does not perform well in chloride solutions,
even in small concentrations, or in sulphuric acid. Stainless Steel 347H ERW Tubes
should be considered for applications requiring intermittent heating between 800 Degree
F (427 Degree C) and 1650 Degree F (899 Degree C) or for welding under conditions that
prevent a post-weld anneal. The high-temperature oxidation resistance of SS 347
Tubes is similar to that of SS 304.
The Stainless Steel 347/347H Tubes are processed by tested raw
materials; with different heat treatment process tubes attain durability and workability
to harsh environments. Before third parties inspect packaging tubes, these are packed in
the wooden box, crates, cardboard box, and plastic wrapping to prevent them from being
