Welded pipes at Silver Tubes are manufactured using a skelp which is a long coiled steel ribbon. The skelp is first converted to a flat sheet of the rectangular shape of the desired length. It is then fed into a rolling machine that forms a cylinder shape. The sheet ends are welded. Appropriate welding methods are used to weld the pipes among which ERW, DSAW, and EFW are common. Proper heat treatment is given to the welded pipes after manufacturing to make the weld zone less visible.
Due to the welded joints, the pipes operate at low pressure. However, they have higher dimensional tolerances and are cost-effective products. After manufacturing the product is well tested, followed by marking and packaging before left for transportation.
Our SS 321/321H Welded Pipes are essentially used in process plants and pipeline constructions. Therefore, safety and quality must be ensured, thus we offer certificates such as IBR, manufacturer, third party inspection and more to the buyers.
