Silver Tubes is a leading trader and manufacturer of Stainless Steel 321 Pipe Fittings / Stainless Steel 321H Pipe Fittings, which are not as corrosion-resistant as the other two classes but are extremely strong and tough, as well as highly machinable, and can be hardened by heat treatment. Stainless Steel 321 Butt Weld Fittings generally has better engineering properties than austenitic grades. Stainless Steel 321 Butt Weld Pipe Fittings has reduced corrosion resistance, because of the lower chromium and nickel content. Stainless Steel 321H Pipe Fittings is a titanium-steadiedform of SS 304, used in specific applications in the sensitizing temprange. Most compositions in Stainless Steel 321H Butt Weld Fittings include molybdenum; some, aluminium or titanium. Stainless Steel 321H Butt Weld Pipe Fittings is not subject to weld decay intergranular corrosion when exposed to mildly corrosive environments.
The resistance to sensitization of SS 321 Pipe Fittings, coupled with its higher strength at high temperature makes it suitable in application where 304 will become sensitized, or where 304L has insufficient hot strength. A limitation with SS 321H Pipe Fittings is that titanium does not transfer well across a high temperature arc, so is not recommended as a welding consumable. Alloy 321 Pipe Fittings is a much better option in operating temperature environments in excess of 500 Degree C and therefore has its own merits. Alloy 321H Pipe Fittings offers higher creep and stress rupture properties and also be considered for exposure where sensitization and intergranular corrosion are concern.
