When a definite range or minimum amount of any of the following elements is specified or required within the limits recognized for constructional Alloy Steel T91 Seamless Tubes. Alloy Steel T91 Welded Tubes has good mechanical properties at both room and elevated temperatures up to approximately 1020 Degree F. Alloy Steel T91 Tubes offers exceptional resistance to corrosion by sulphuric and phosphoric acids and is often the most cost effective alloy in sulphuric acid service. The additions of copper and molybdenum in Alloy Steel T91 ERW Tubes increase it resistance to general stress corrosion and to specific attacks such as crevice corrosion.
As an austenitic, AS T91 Tubes is ductile over a wide range of temperatures from cryogenic to well in excess of 1000 Degree F (538 Degree C). Fabricability is typical of AS T91 Seamless Tubes, with the material readily formable and weldable by a variety of techniques. The levels of molybdenum and copper enable AS T91 Welded Tubes to resist reducing agents and acids. For that reason, AS T91 Tubes should not be utilized at temperatures where creep-rupture properties are design factors. AS T91 ERW Tubes has good weldability by all conventional processes.
