Silver Tubes is an exporter & stockiest of Stainless Steel 316Ti Forged Fittings, which is a stabilized stainless steel that offers as its main advantage an excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion following exposure to temperatures in the chromium carbide precipitation range from 800 Degree F to 1500 Degree F (427 Degree C to 816 Degree C).Forged Socket Weld Fittings is also advantageous for high temperature service because of its good mechanical properties. Forged Threaded Fittings can be used in nitric solutions and most diluted organic acids at moderate temperatures and in pure phosphoric acid at lower temperatures and up to 10% diluted solutions at elevated temperatures. Working temperatures of 2100 Degree F -2250 Degree F (1149 Degree C -1232 Degree C) in SS 316Ti Forged Fittings are recommended for forging, upsetting and other hot work processes.
SS 316Ti Forged Socket Weld Fittings does not perform well in chloride solutions, even in small concentrations, or in sulfuric acid. SS 316Ti Forged Threaded Fittings must be water quenched or fully annealed after working to re-attain maximum corrosion resistance. Alloy 316Ti Forged Fittings does not harden by heat treating, where elevated properties of the same may only be obtained through cold reduction. The applications of Grade 316Ti Forged Fittings are high temperature gaskets and expansion joints, rocket engine parts, aircraft collector rings and exhaust manifolds and chemical production equipment.
