Silver Tubes is a well-known whole seller of Duplex Stainless Steel UNS S32205 Forged Fittings / Duplex Stainless Steel UNS S31803 Forged Fittings, which typically have 50 – 60% austenite that has formed in a ferritic matrix. The first requirement of Forged Socket Weld Fittings was that nitrogen should be in the 0.14-0.20% ranges to increase its remunerations in advanced corrosion resistance, higher strength, better metallurgical stability, and greater properties post welding. Forged Threaded Fittings combines excellent resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and chloride stress corrosion with high strength. In the solution annealed condition from about 1925 Degree F, Forged Threaded Fittings has a microstructure with about 40 – 50% ferrite.
At high temperatures, above 2000 Degree F, Forged Socket Weld Fittings will become increasingly ferritic, becoming fully ferritic at temperatures just below the melting point. When hot forming is required, Duplex UNS S31803 Forged Fittings should be heated uniformly and worked in the range of 1750 Degree F – 2250 Degree F. Meanwhile, high nitrogen content increases the temperature of at which austenite is stable, within the structure of material. Duplex Forged Threaded Fittings facilitates the formation of austenite which is subsequent to a high temperature exposure, such as in the heat-affected zone adjacent to a weld.
