Silver Tubes is one of the well-established production houses of Hastelloy Rods, Bars, flat bars, hex etc., where Annealing can be performed at a temperature range between the ranges of 2020 Degree F – 2150 Degree F followed by a rapid quench. In Hastelloy Rods, seawater is probably the most common aqueous salt solution. Meanwhile, not only is it encountered in marine transportation and offshore oil rigs, but Hastelloy Bars is also used as a coolant in coastal facilities. Hastelloy Round Bars was selected for this application after extensive testing in the actual bleach washer environment. Hastelloy Flat Bars are known throughout the world as the premier corrosion-resistant alloys. In Hastelloy Hex Bars, cooling at an accelerated rate avoids the formation of detrimental phases which form between the ranges of 1400 Degree F – 1800 Degree F.
The fluids used in chemical processing are extremely corrosive in Hastelloy Wires, and the materials of construction for the processing equipment require very special consideration. Without correct specification, conditions in Hastelloy Bright Bars will rapidly decline, leading to unit repair or replacement and expensive manufacturing downtime. Hastelloy Alloy Bars also offers optimum resistance to environments where reducing and oxidizing conditions are encountered in process streams. Welding in Hastelloy Alloy Rods can be done by gas tungsten-arc, gas metal-arc and shielded metal-arc processes.
