chloride environments and sulphide stress corrosion. UNS S32205 Seamless Tubes is roughly double the
strength of standard austenitic stainless steels. UNS S32205 Welded Tubes recommend a maximum
hot forming temperature between 2010 Degree F and 2100 Degree F (1100 Degree C to 1150 Degree C). If the
shape of the work piece is not compact in UNS S32205 EFW Tubes, the edges may be significantly
cooler than the bulk, and there is a risk of cracking in the cooler regions. Duplex Steel UNS S32205 ERW
Tubes are somewhat more difficult to machine than the 300 series austenitic stainless steels. On the
other hand, higher cutting forces in UNS S31803 Seamless Tubes are required, and more rapid tool wear is
typical.
Duplex SS UNS S31803 Welded Tubes gives better-guaranteed corrosion resistance and has excellent
general corrosion resistance. UNS S31803 EFW Tubes is superior to Stainless Steel 316 in most
environments that have shown good formability in various fabrications. However, stainless Steel UNS
S31803 ERW Tubes is not usually appropriate for use at temp beyond 300 Degree C. It agonizes from
precipitation neither of hard microelements nor below -50 Degree C because of its
ductile-to-brittle-transition. Duplex 2205 Tubes is two-phase, ferritic, austenitic 22%
chromium, 3% molybdenum, 5-6 % nickel alloyed stainless steel.
